Where suede comes from and the different types of suede
Regardless of form, style, color and sources, suede is one of the high-grade fabrics to manufacture garments, shoes or suitcases from. Obviously, suede leather jackets are less durable and comparatively less expensive. Even though suede is produced from split hide, there are types of suede that are obtained from full-grain leather. Full-grain suede cloth comes at a higher price due to it originating from quality, non-damaged skin; there is also the fact that full-grain suede is more durable than split hide suede.
Not necessarily all suede leather jackets available in the market are fabricated from suede leather obtained from animal skin. The youngest trend in suede fashion in the last decennium where artificial suede materials, these had a durability that was a few times better than split hide all this at a price lesser than full-grain and, in some cases, split-hide. An even greater quality of artificial suede was its resistance to stains and water.
Once only popular amongst teenagers suede has now become a popular clothing material irrelevant to the age of its wearer.
