Do leather gloves add the glam factor to your wardrobe ladies winter?

At Christmas, my gf asked for a pair of elbows, black gloves unlined leather that I owe him. It is very 60s retro clothing (jackets, skirts, etc.) and they really turned his eyes the whole for the best that I can add! Do guys (or ladies) prefer the more refined, tailored search as opposed to a cheap, look tarty? His gloves really added a new sexy, glamorous new angle of his wardrobe.
