fur / leather clothing items made from animals killed or simply die naturally?

I heard animals are slaughtered for clothes, but I've also heard that these items are mostly based on animals that die of natural causes. Which is true? PS I'm already a vegetarian. I know they are killed for meat, and that is why I do not eat.

Many hides from animals killed just for their skin. There are leather, however, that come from beef cows are killed anyway. (I know this is not great, but it is a little better than killing animals just for their hides. In this way, since the animal going to die anyway, they at least use every part of the animal and not lose.) I know because I asked my favorite bag company about it. (Www.sfbags.com). The leather they use comes from cows for slaughter, and they have many non-leather too. Their site is worth checking out.
