wording a wedding invitation any more ideas please?
it needs to say all the normal plus this is the part i’m not sure how to word
casual wear jeans and t’s ok the theme is harley davidson
small intimate wedding
no reception but we are all going to eat dutch at a local restaurant after the ceremony
no gifts please
Okay –
You would invite them to the ceremony as usual and then if you want to put in small words in the bottom corner “casual attire – please, no gifts”
Then you would place a second “card” (i.e.slip of paper) in (you can print it up on your own computer) that says
“We will dining on separate checks at XYZ restaurant immediately following the ceremony. If you would like to join us, please let us know so they know how many parties to expect.”
You won’t “invite” them to eat out with you and then have them to pay. You just let them know that you are eating there and they are welcome to as well.
You should however provide some type of “free” refreshments immediately following the ceremony- even if it is just cookies and punch. That way if people can’t eat out with you, they can still have something to eat and greet you before you go out to eat.
